Devil's Gate

Director: Clay Staub

Released: January 2018

Horror + body snatchers should equal a good time. This movie is just that but somehow falls short in the writing side of things. We've got a missing wife and son for which an FBI agent is called into a small town to help on. We get murder, religious stuff, horror, then aliens, the a big rats nest in trying to bring it all together. For me, there are people acting and making decisions that just don't make sense in a way that kicks you out of the movie. The film does bring you back, before kicking you out again. And the cycle continues until closing.

Verdict: This should have been better and is still worth a low-key watch if you're bored
